Of course after the first two games (Carolina beat Arizona and Baltimore beat Pittsburgh) you see that my ranks agree with one of the outcomes. Here we see another shortcoming of this system. It is not predictive, but reflective of what has happened. Through the course of the year Arizona was the better team from start to finish, while Carolina was simply average. Arizona however finished beat up with a third string QB on a mediocre offense which equals a one way ticket to the golf course. Carolina was just good enough to hold on for the win, but not likely against either Seattle or Green Bay next week; both of which are relatively healthy, with better coaches and better QBs.
Oakland finished as the worst team in the league, and I have no problems with that.
My Browns limp to the finish at 22nd. Yet another disappointing year. I really do think it's time to take away the team name and colors until they do something to earn them.
I'll check in one more time after the championship game to see how it all stacks up after the playoffs.
